whats earth day?

Q:

A: Earth Day is a day created by industrial waste-spewing, gas guzzling political giants to placate everyone who actually cares about the environment -- for political gain. Obviously if the country really cared enough about maintaining a livable Earth, we would have signed the Kyoto treaty a thousand times with bells and whistles, mandated hybridized cars with no higher consumption than, say, a Prius, and mandated the recycling of plastic bags (Australia has) because they're derived from fossil fuels. On Earth Day, groups of children color pictures of their stick figure family holding hands and standing on top of the whole Earth, with a band-aid on it (that means it's all fixed now). Then they have a few pretzels and some punch, talk about recycled notebook paper, and ride home holding their pictures in their big, noxious-smoke spewing yellow bus.
