Q: new figures if you have them, can you explain how they were derived
A: I don't remember when I heard it, but I heard there are as many people now as there ever has been. In other words, since there are about 6.5 billion people now, there have been 13 billion people. I have no idea how they came up with that. My guess is that they base it on the known rate of population growth and extrapolate into the past.
