A: Diwali is the festival of lights. though it is a Hindu festival, but people of all religions (muslims, christians, jains) all over India celebrate this festival. The celebration of this festival has a very long story behind it. But in short-on this occassion Lord Rama after 14 years returned to his kingdom. his common people lighted diyas and celebrated it with great Happiness. Therefore, its celebrated every year by lightings and crackers are burnt. There is another story, but the major reason is this only.
