A: It's mainly a hindu holiday but in mostly hindu countries like India it's celebrated as a nation-wide holiday. Sikhs also celebrate it, in India a high amount christians, muslims, sikhs, jains, hindus, and people of other religions celebrate it. It's like holi, holi's celebrated as a religious holiday out of india but in india; everyone celebrates it.
