Q: yay, i think im the first person to ask in this category for now.

A: Dasara is a Hindu Holiday. It denotes victory of good over evil. After 9 days of fasting and praying for strength there is feasting that day besides all that has been written above. It is so much fun! New clothes, decorations, festivity and all. It is celebrated in different ways in the diff parts of the country. Bengal- Durga Puja. With immersion of Goddess on the 10th Day. West, Gujarat - Navaratri . Dancing Garba around the deity. South - Shakti Worship through Dolls North- Burning effigy of Ravana after 9 days of fasting. Processions are taken out on Dusserah day in Kulu , Mysore and other parts of India. And lots more that can fill pages.
