Q: I am going to participate in operation christmas child this year. kind of like I do every year. they send shoe boxes full of gifts for kids in 3rd world countries. I was going to participate this year. and I've got two easily answerable questions. 1. what age group should I aim for. they have three groups but I'm looking at two in particular. 5-9 and 10-14. mainly because I am putting 4 graphic novels in there {kingdom hearts 1-4} these books can be for anyone. they have donald duck, goofy, and other disney characters but if you mistake it for a kids book you'd be very wrong. basically anyone can read those manga {japanese graphic novels}. 2. besides those four books to put into a shoe box what should I put into to it. I basically trolling for ideas with this question.

A: well the years i do that, i add small little toys from the 99 cent store or somewhere similar, i add individually wrapped hard candy (no Chocolate it melts), and i bought a bunch of fleece fabric one year and cut it into long strips cut tassels on each end tied them up in twos and made scarfs. i put one into each shoebox. i also got gloves cheap ones form again the 99 cent store(but their good i buy them for me too) and throw those in cause you never know where the country is its going to. as well as a small coloring book or activity book and crayons, maybe make up if I'm going for the higher age group. i usually put a bunch of pens and pencils in and a sm blank notebook in case they get to go to school. if i remember i threw in a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a small comb too. i should do that this year i didn't last year.
