Q: ok right now i've lived with my parents in europe for the past 5 years im 18 years old and in october im moving out to be a live in nanny somewhere, and well my parents are probably moving back to the states in the beginning of december, so this will be my first christmas alone, any ideas? what can i do? .. besides spending it with the family i'll be working with... and i do have good friends here but i would feel like im intruding on their family time.. so..any ideas?
A: hi i have never spent christmas alone but for me christmas is a time to be with the people that you care about although you may not be in direct contact with your parents they will still be thinking of you and vise versa its nice to no someone loves you you say you have good friends i enjoy nothing more than seeing my friends over christmas and would never feel like they were intruding on family time as many of my friends are just like family invite everyone out for a good sing song and meal on christmas eve night enjoy yourself and then if you still feel this is leaving a gap why not try voluntary work for a shelter somewhere for the homeless or poor they are always looking for help at christmas
