A: You draw names by writing them or printing them on any paper or holiday paper, or colored paper. Cut the paper into strips, with a name on each strip. Fold each strip in half. Tuck a small plastic bowl inside a santa hat and put the strips into the bowl. Have everyone meet at Thanksgiving, or at least 3 weeks before Christmas, and draw one slip each. The name on the slip is the person you are making, or buying a gift for. There should be a price limit set ahead of time. At the party or at Christmastime, everyone gets the gift they brought and gives it to the person whose name they drew.
