Q: And can you tell me how do you celebrate for Christmas?
A: well, i'm from the caribbean island of trinidad and tobago. girl! you gonna like a 'trini' christmas here. well for one it doesn't snow here, so it's a whole new experience. our christmas is influenced mainly form spanish and creole heritage so it is really enjoyable from the food, to the music and family and friends getting together to eat food. for music, we have 'parang' and this mainly consist of spanish music. people sometimes go from house to hose christmas eve and christmas morning to sing music from cuatros. also, around the country, there are music festivals that are kept. with the food, its amazing. we have stuff called pastells which are a favorite around christmas time. but most important people come together christmas time and spend time with one another and have fun.
