Q: The sign < means "less than". It's a math symbol. $100 would only go to people you see face to face like a maid, barber, ect. Others would get less than $100, probably $25 or less.
A: yah.. well depends on your status ... if yourreally wealthy it would b cheap if you gave them 25 bucks.. but i think that is good... watever you feel is appropiate ... and im pretty sure they wont b complaining
