Q: I have a prelit Christmas tree and one section of the lights do not work, but the rest of the tree does? How do I repair the one section of lights?

A: You probably have one bad bulb that is in the unlit circuit. The easiest way would be to start with a new working bulb and remove a non-lit bulb and insert the bulb you know works into the socket and put the non-lit bulb in a working section of lights to see if it works. If the new bulb lights up, you found your bad bulb (as they should all light up). If the removed bulb tests okay, then reinsert it into the socket and move to the next one. You can invest in a Light-Keeper-Pro to see if you can find the bad bulb, but the above method would be quicker and cheaper (as a LKP sells for about $15).
