A: Intoxicating amanita muscaria mushrooms grow under pine trees.They are bright red and white(the presents).Shaman dressed in red and white(santa)would gather them,enter through the fireplace,and hang them near the fireplace to dry(red and white socks).Reindeer apparently eat the mushrooms to get high(flying reindeer),and the shaman learned this from them.Somewhere along the line,people started cutting the trees down and substituted presents from each other instead of presents from nature.
